(Mortally Dangerous, Seriously)
An accessible, trilingual murder mystery farce
Livsfarligt på allvar is a co-production between Svenska Teatern, DuvTeatern and University of the Arts Helsinki. The piece was devised by the ensemble, under the direction of Mikaela Hasán, Artistic Director of DuvTeatern. The murder mystery farce was produced as part of DuvTeatern’s research project TIKSI, which explores accessibility as an artistic strategy and inspiration. The play explores how accessibility can be incorporated from the beginning of the creative process, rather than serve as an add-on to a finished piece. Livsfarligt på allvar incorporates Finnish and Finnish-Swedish sign language; spoken, accessible Swedish, and audio description as an inherent part of the dialogue. The team worked closely with accessibility consultants Riikka Hänninen, Silva Belghiti, Ellen Hoang, and Ragnar Bengtström.
