A play for ages 7 and up
Radio Popov is an adaptation of Anja Portin’s award-winning children’s book of the same name. The play was adapted for the stage by Iira Halttunen, translated to Swedish by Malin Kivelä, and directed by Ida Kronholm, at Svenska Teatern.
The play tells the story of 9-year-old Alfred, a neglected and lonely boy, who decides to run away from home and move in with Amanda, a reclusive newspaper delivery woman. The team worked closely with a reference group consisting of a class of 9-year olds while developing the piece.
